The St Ronan’s Wells Support Group SCIO 055221 (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) is owned and controlled by its members. Membership to the SCIO is open to three classes of people:
- Full Members: Resident in the EH44 postcode area and older than 16. They have full voting rights.
- Associate Members: Living outwith the EH44 postcode area and over 16. They have no voting rights.
- Junior members: Aged 12 to 15. They also have no voting rights.
All members have the right to attend the annual general meeting (and any special general meeting) and have important powers under our constitution; in particular, the full members elect people to serve as a trustee. Members can stand for election to the board of trustees at the Annual General Meeting. It is the board of trustees who hold regular meetings and oversee and supervise the activities of the SCIO. It may be possible to become involved on the board of trustees before the next AGM.
