We haven't posted anything lately, but that doesn't mean that nothing is happening - just the opposite. We are waiting, more or less patiently, for the announcement from the Scottish Land Fund of the results of the latest funding round. Remember we had initially asked the SLF for £50K to buy The Wells, but that was changed when SBC offered us the property for £1. Now our application is for £6001: conveyancing fees for both us and the council, a council survey and guess what the £1 is!
We're hopeful - to get involved in community asset transfers you have to live in a permanent state of hope! We will get the official results on 11th November. In the meantime we are assuming the best and forward planning for what comes next. Acquiring the building is the easy bit, and remember, we will need over £1M. We have a group meeting this week with a lot to discuss.
